HIGH WATER (INDIE)

After the death of his brother, Peter Rock returns to the South Carolina Lowcountry to care for his aging, forgetful mother, Florine. Set against the backdrop of the historic Remley’s Point community in Scanlonville, the short film follows Peter as he reconnects with childhood friends, visits ancestral burial grounds, and picks up odd jobs to keep his family afloat. As he weaves through a landscape rich with memory and legacy, Peter is haunted by relentless calls from land developers eager to buy his mother's property. Torn between honoring his heritage and the mounting pressures of survival, Peter must decide what he's willing to sacrifice—and what must be preserved.
